The opinion of the sommelier

« It’s been a couple of months I was looking for a nice wine from the Margaux AOC, one of the most well-known AOC in France. I really enjoyed this cuvee from the Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière. Margaux wines are famous for their delicacy and their feminine side, and you will probably notice this when tasting it. Moreover, it has a good price/quality ratio. »

Terroir

Trianon de Larigaudière is the second wine of the prestigious Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière, located on one of the most beautiful terroir of the Margaux AOC. The soil is sand-rich: sand has some drainage aptitudes that help producing light and aerial wines.

lecepage Grape variety

One of the best mix we can make in Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon brings power and body to the wine, while Merlot brings fruit aromas and mellowness. The main aromas are: blackcurrants, strawberries, dark cherries, etc.

lemillesime Vintage

Vintage 2011, coming after 2009 and 2010, two beautiful vintages in Bordeaux, wasn’t the best vintage for the Margaux designation because of a bad weather during the entire year. But, oenologists from the Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière used their know how to face the bad climatic conditions.

lerecoltant A winemaker, a family

Within a few decades, the Mour and Schepper families built a small empire in the Bordeaux region. They started by purchasing the Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière, and they then bought few more Château: Château la Croizille, Château Cadiot, Château Tayet, Château Tour Baladoz. If you know people that would like to sell their Château, don’t hesitate to contact them: they could be interested
