TerroirThe Domaine Lis Neris is part of the prestigious wine growing region of Friuli, located in the North East of Italy. More than sixty hectares of vineyards are planted on a gravel and limestone soil that makes the wine strong and round in mouth. The gravels make a natural drainage of the water that brings thinness to the wine.
Grape varietyLet us teach you something: the cabernet sauvignon was produced by mixing cabernet franc and white sauvignon. It produces strong wines with a lot of tannins. It is characterized by fresh red fruits aromas with hints of spices and vanilla.
VintageVintage 2012 was characterized by springtime frosts followed by a huge heat wave in August. The springtime frosts delayed the growing cycle of the vineyards, but still conveyed high quality to the vintage.
