The opinion of the wine taster

A nice Saint-Joseph coated in velvety tannins, with light woody touches and notes of peony. This bottle will be a nice surprise if you will taste it in some years !

The terroir

The AOC designation Saint-Joseph is located in the north of the Rhone Valley. The soil is granitic. The terraced vineyard benefits from a south sun exposure that allows grapes to mature and prosper at sun.

lecepage The grape variety

100% syrah, variety that produces noir-blueish coloured grapes with a sweet and spicy juice.

lemillesime The vintage

The 2010 was a good year for the Rhone Valley. The weather during the summer and the harvest period was hot and dry. This allowed the grapes to come to a perfect maturity and to keep all their juice. Wines are rich and fruity.

lerecoltantThe winemaker

The wines Saint-Joseph and Condrieu produced by the winery Faury are on the wine list of many famous restaurants. However Lionel and Philippe Condrieur want to keep their feet firmly on the ground: “What’s important for us it to produce good wine, we don’t care about the prestige!"
